Favre Looks to Be Just What the Vikings Need
I quite enjoyed the whole Brett Favre saga over the off season, but I know many didn’t. To me it filled the holes in the news stories quite well and smoothed the frustration of the wait for the start of the season.
Now that he is finally in place at the Vikings the signs are looking good. While he didn’t look like a spring chicken he did seem to fit the play of the team really well.
I feel that it is going to be a good season for him. The schedule is not too tough and if he can hold off injury then it could be a much more fitting end for him than last year at the New York Jets.
I can’t say that he will make my fantasy football list this year as there is a much greater chance that his performance will drop faster than a younger player, but as a backup quarterback he could be just the ticket.
I am looking forward to seeing him play, I feel there will be quite a few ‘classic’ highlights that involve the Vikings this year.
