At his official blog last week, Kevin Smith announced that whilst he couldn’t predict how many games the Lions would win next year they will “definitely make the playoffs”. Well, you’ve got to love his attitude. If not his realism.


Seriously though, no-one who watched most of the games last year would have Detroit as a 0-16 team. They were bad at times, awful at others, but they probably didn’t deserve the infamy of being the first 0-16 team. A Dolphin-style turnaround isn’t impossible… merely inprobably in what is already a tough division.

So from me… No. Sorry Kevin, I just don’t see it. I think you should be happy with 5-11 this year and carry on the good work of rebuilding.
