Matthew Stafford: Will he be Lions Starting Quarterback?
With the end of the Detroit Lions organized team activities the eyes of the press were still firmly on No.1 draft pick Matthrew Stafford.
For those that haven’t seen it, have a look at this great display Stafford gave on ‘Late night with Jimmy Fallon’…
I think it is fair to say that everyone wants to see just how good he is, but new Head Coach Jim Schwartz was not giving too much away…
“When he’s the best quarterback and he’s ready, he’s going to start. He needs to pass both of those”, Schwartz said Monday. “It doesn’t matter if he’s ready if he’s not the best. And if he’s the best but he’s not ready, (he won’t start)”.
Fair enough, it is a sensible statement. I hope he does get to start though, he could be a key component in the rebuilding of the Lions this season.
