After the months of the relative quiet of the off-season there was finally some action last night as the Titans bested the Bills in the Hall Of Fame game 21-18

Here at Mactalksnfl, we’re not overly concerned about the pre-season games. We won’t be making predictions on them, or worrying about losses to teams we have projected quite highly. Or the opposite, wins for teams that we’ve ranked fairly low.

What we will do is look at individual players’ performances; see how the first team – for the few quarters they’re out there – gel together, and keep an eye on rookies, our favourite players and think about our fantasy league draft. We’ll be keeping a close eye on the injuries that occur and key players that are new to their teams. There are also several positional battles going on, most notably at quarterback, that we’ll keep an eye on too.

Our work really start with the regular season, when we’ll be looking closely at each game and making predictions accordingly. Graham and I have both had good records over the last few seasons and we’ll be hoping to continue that.

For the record… we both picked the Titans last night.
