Just how surprised would we be with the teams there? The AFC Would shape us as follows, ranked in descending order: Baltimore Ravens New York Jets Kansas City Chiefs Tennessee Titans Pittsburgh Steelers New England Patriots There’s little doubt with the season just over halfway through that the AFC is generally stronger than the NFC

In the Wembley Watch articles, I’ve taken a look at the Wembley-bound teams each week, but with the International Series game so close, I’m taking a close look at both teams in a bit more detail. Last week I examined the chances of the Broncos against the Jets (and got it wrong), this week I’ll

The Indianapolis Colts make their way to Washington this Sunday to face a rejuvenated Redskins team. It is interesting to see just how close things are so far this season, and I don’t think that there were many who put the Redskins and the Colts level at week 6. Last week against Kansas the Colts

Whichever way you look at it the Rams are a much-improved team this season. At the end of last season you might have written them off right away against the Seahawks, but as things stand now this could be one of the games of the week. The Seahawks come to the Edward Jones Dome with

With the average NFL career being less than four seasons, when someone’s spent 14 years they deserve a mention. Muhsin Muhammad retired yesterday. He leaves the game ranked 20th on career receiving yards and having spent the vast majority of his year with one team, the Carolina Panthers. He was selected in the second round

The run that the Saints went on took us by surprise. Indeed, from the pre- and off-season Graham and I both fancied the Panthers to be the err, big dogs of the division. As it happened, they were pussycats and the Saints went marching on and it’s now history. But enough of me murdering metaphors…

I did pretty badly with this last year, predicting that the Giants and Eagles would go into the post-season as winners and wildcard respectively. In the end, the Cowboys surprised and the Giants disappointed to swap places from my predictions. Unfortunately the ‘Skins did no better than I thought they would and were propping up
