As we head towards the final pre-season games we should be approaching a stable point where injured players can be rested and final plans put into place.  At MacTalksNFL we will be keeping an eye on the state of things running up to the regular season.

Favre to miss Final pre-season game
News today that Brett Favre will not be on the field to face the Dallas Cowboys on Friday.  Vikings Head Coach Childress said – “I don’t see the upside” and I have to agree with him.  Why open him up to potential injury?

There has been some concern that some of the team have not had time to gel with the experienced quarterback, but this late in the pre-season his active time may be better spent on the training field.

Brandon Marshall
There has been talk over the last few days that Marshall may well be heading to the New York JetsDenver Broncos Head Coach Josh McDaniels finally moved to quash the rumours yesterday by saying “We’re looking forward to having Brandon back on Sept. 6”.

Marshall has been unhappy with his situation with the team and has limited practice time with them so far.  Coach McDaniels suspended Marshall for the remainder of the preseason last Friday for detrimental conduct during a practice.
