Indianapolis Colts @ Jacksonville Jaguars
A – The Colts have a new record for consecutive wins, they have home field advantage through the play-offs and are coasting into the post season. Whilst 16-0 will be tempting, it remains to be seen what they’ll do in the final week in terms of their starters. For this week though, I can’t look past them.
Yeah, I’m not even talking about the Jaguars.
G – The Jags have 7 wins, but just compare that to the Colts 13 wins and you begin to see what a task Jacksonville have. I would love to back the Jags, but the Colts are just too good…and for that reason I’m oooot! Colts win.
C – The Colts looked great again on Sunday. He linked up with Clark like we expect him to most weeks and they extended their unbeaten run. I almost feel silly now for thinking the Broncos could have ended the streak. (although they came within 1 TD of pulling level!). For this week I have to go for Indianapolis to go 14-0.
Mac says: Colts to win.
Our predictions for the weekend game will be up later in the week.

Yes, they’re late (sorry Andrew, been a very bust week – C). But here are our picks for the NFL 2009 week 14 matches.
New Orleans Saints @ Atlanta Falcons
C - A few times this season we have seen the Saints on the brink of defeat, only for them to claw their way back and snatch victory. It’s this that makes a team great. The Colts too have done this. No one seems to be able to kill the game off against them. They are beatable for sure, but it’s just finding the right team to do it on the right day. For that reason, i’m backing New Orleans to take the win here and remain undefeated. Atlanta are a decent side, but i feel the Saints are stronger across the board.
A – A lovely NFC South Matchup… The Saints can count themselves lucky last week after just edging past the Redskins – I don’t want to talk about it, but the upshot is that they’ve booked their place in the post season and are looking odds on for a first round bye. The Falcons are 2 games down on a wildcard spot and only one game up on the Panthers, who are starting to get going (albeit it a little late!). They need this one.
But the lucky wins they’ve had, combined with when they’ve been playing well, is starting to make me think that the Saints could go unbeaten this season. I’m going with my heart here and backing them in this game.
G – We all predicted an easy win for the Saints last weekend and almost ended up looking very silly. While they are still unbeaten, we know they can be beaten. That said I don’t think they will drop their record in this game. Saints Win.

So, as Andrew does not have access to the site at the minute you have me to welcome you to this weeks MAC predictions. I, Craig, will be your host. Now, I’m not one for introductions, so without further ado let’s see what we think of the upcoming match.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns
C – Hmmmm.. this is tougher than it should be. After a strong performance against the Chargers last week you’ve gotta give the Browns credit. They are slowly improving. Quinn, while inconsistent, has proven he can play well. The Steelers are really having a horrible time at the moment. 2 divisional losses to the Ravens and Bengals, and losses against the Chiefs, and the Bills. All in 4 games. So… going off this information i have, and wanting the Steelers to lose to keep the Ravens in the hunt for the Wildcard spot… i’m going for a Browns win!
A - Graham here delivering Andrew’s phone vote. He said something about champers, a Rolls Royce and a ditch. I couldn’t really understand him over the phone before they took him back to the cells. You think he would have learned not to use his one phone call to call me by now, but he wanted to make sure that the readers got the predictions. Tempted as I am to put him down for the Browns, I did just make out that he said the Steelers….followed by ‘You’ll never pin it on me copper’….
G – It is hard to rate the Browns here in what should be a business like win for the Steelers. Lets just hope Quinn and co can pull out all the stops to deliver a close Thursday night game. My pick – Steelers.

Another week is in the books! Let’s see how we got on…
New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills
C – “I’m still gonna go for the Jets win.”
A – “I have to fancy the Bills to fall to 0-2 in Toronto.”
G – “I am expecting a close game, but see the Jets coming out on top.”
The Bills will be thinking these Canadian games weren’t such a good idea…
Philadelphia Eagles @ Atlanta Falcons
C – “I’d say a comfortable Eagles win.”
A – “I’m picking an Eagles win.”
G – “I am going with the Eagles on this one”
Bird related puns aside, this was an intriguing game and Vick did well in his return to the Georgia Dome.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers
C – “Panthers to win.”
A – “It remains to be seen whether they (the Panthers) can make themselves a factor in the wildcard race, but I fancy them here.”
G – “Panthers again for me, but this game really could end up being a close one.”
The Panthers are within one game of the Falcons now, but have the Patriots, Vikings, Giants and Saints in a run-in that no team would pick.

After us suggesting the Jets would have enough to beat the Bills last night, we’ll be hoping that form carries on over the weekend!
So here we go with the rest of this week’s picks for week 13 of the 2009 NFL season.
Philadelphia Eagles @ Atlanta Falcons
C – Atlanta did well to come away with the win against Tampa last week (Grrr…), some might say ‘lucky’. They’re missing Ryan and Turner (although Turner could well return fully this week, haven’t seen the latest report on Ryan) who are their 2 main weapons in offence. The Eagles have been looking more impressive as of late, although they did just about beat the Skins last week. McNabb is looking brutal, and DeSean Jackson is reaping the benefits of that. I’d say a comfortable Eagles win.
A – This has the makings of a terrific match, and not just because of all the bird puns we’re going to get over the weekend. Both teams are second in their divisions, and fighting for a wildcard spot whilst trying to keep the third placed teams (Panthers and Giants) behind them. The Falcons though, have no chance of catching the division leader but the NFC East is still to play for.
This is a tough game to call, but I think the injuries might be an obstacle too much for the Falcons so I’m picking an Eagles win.
G – I am going with the Eagles on this one, but this is a game where there will be feathers flying…..did you see what I did there? (Yes Graham. Everyone did. –Andrew)
Yet another early start this week, and they continue to catch us out.
Here are our thoughts for tonight’s AFC East matchup:
New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills
C – I’m liking the look of the Jets for this one. Fresh off a good win last week, and up against the defence ranked 32nd across the NFL. They’ll be looking at utilising the running game more this week so expect Thomas Jones to have a good game. The Bills themselves though are not to be scoffed at. TO seems to be coming into his element a little bit with some big stats finally, so the Jets D need to stay aware. I’m still gonna go for the Jets win.
A – I’m still not sure about divisional matches being played away from home like this one will be. However, as a Wembley goer perhaps I should be quiet about this!
The Bills have played well the last two weeks, but I’m reminded of so many teams who see an immediate improvement when they change coach (especially the Rams last year!). The Jets are on paper a stronger side across the board, and I think I have to fancy the Bills to fall to 0-2 in Toronto.
G – There are a lot of people in Canada who are very pleased thay are getting to see this game. Support is predicted to be strong for the Bills, but will that be enough? I am expecting a close game, but see the Jets coming out on top.

Tough week, and one where Craig led the way. HHmmm… not sure it was a good idea getting him here Graham.
Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions
A – “…the Lions are back to earth with a bump.”
G – “A Green Bay win for me.”
C – “Green Bay, for all their offensive line flaws, have a good set up and will score some points.”
Oakland Raiders @ Dallas Cowboys
A – “I see a close game, but the Cowboys taking it.”
G – “The Raiders will be looking to build on their impressive win last week, but I think the Cowboys will be just a little too much for them.”
C – “Cowboys. They’re going to come out with something to prove to themselves and everyone watching.”
Here we are with our second part of our Thanksgiving Weekend predictions.
Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills
A – With the Patriots apparently in control in the East, the Dolphins are looking to secure the second spot and aim for a wildcard berth. The Bills, as ever it seems, are struggling. WIth a new coach they gave the Jaguars a close game last week, and you have to think that there will have been more improvements between then and now. All things considered though, I’m going to back the Dolphins here.
G – I guess you already know who I am going with here right? This should be the Dolphins game and combined with a loss for the Pats and Jets could make the AFC East very interesting.
C – Dolphins for this one. The Bills did a good job last week against the run, but i think the Wildcat will be a bit much for them. Ricky to have another huge game.
An early start this week, again, as Thanksgiving is here.
Here are our picks for the three games that are taking place this Thursday.
Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions
A – The Lions are back after their heroic win over the Browns just a few days ago. Stafford is almost certainly out, so we’ll get to see Daunte Culpepper. But I can’t look past the Packers here. The Lions are ranked 31st in yards per game and last for points. Even taking his usual 4-5 sacks, Aaron Rodgers will have funtimes. Add Ryan Grant and the 3rd ranked Defense, and the Lions are back to earth with a bump.
G – Such a shame that Stafford is out, as it would have made the game a lot more interesting if he were playing. However, I still don’t think it would have changed the overall outcome. A Green Bay win for me.
C – Packers get my vote. Their offense might look good against the Browns but the Lions will struggle this week due to the lack of Stafford and most likely Johnson. Green Bay, for all their offensive line flaws, have a good set up and will score some points.

The arrival of Craig seemed to have a good effect on us. The official Mac prediction only fell short on a couple of games.
Andrew managed to claw yet another game back from me this week, so I am really going to have to up my game. Andrew scored 12-4 whilst Craig and I both got 11-5 this week. I am glad things are getting closer as the season goes on!
Miami Dolphins @ Carolina Panthers
A – “I think the Panthers should have enough here. Sorry Graham”
G – ” I see Miami just taking it…..no…..really”
C – “my prediction goes to the Dolphins. Miami win”
This turned out to be a great game with Ricky Williams showing that there was little reason to be worried about the loss of Ronnie Brown.
