NFL International Series 2010: Wembley Watch – 8 Weeks To Go
Sep 5th
The season is so close now, I know we’re all getting excited here.
The final week of pre-season saw the second teams (and below) get their chance to shine.
Denver Broncos
Although it was hoped that Elvis Dumervil would play some part this season, it’s not to be the case as he’s been placed on Injured Reserve ahead of the final roster. LenDale White is also out for the season after an ankle injury incurred against the Vikings. Brandon Stokley joins them on IR.
Corell Buckhalter did see some playtime but Knowshon Moreno is still not back. It’s likely we’ll see some movement here before the 53 is set.
All teams suffer with injuries, but the Broncos – as we’ve said before – seem to have been affected more than most.
Tim Tebow and Brady Quinn got roughly similar playtime, but Tebow suffered early on – giving up turnovers and 10 points. But he rushed and apart from those two series, he played well. Quinn also did well, but doesn’t have the redzone options that Tebow brings so he’ll see less playing time. Kyle Orton continues as a dependable starting QB.

What’s been happening this week for the two NFL teams bound for the UK later this year?
Denver Broncos
Elvis Dumervil left practice holding his arm earlier this week and the injury (actually to his chest) could keep him out for the season. This highlights the dangerous nature of contracts and the NFL, even in training. Just a week after signing his contract, he may be out for the season. That’s why these guys like to secure their guaranteed money! If he is lost for that long, then he’s a massive loss to the Broncos who will miss his pass rush, and the situation is further compounded by the injury that’s so far kept lineman Darrell Reid out of training. Hopefully it’s not as bad as it seems.

First Look 2010… NFC West
May 28th
This is another division where I didn’t cover myself in glory. By my own admission it was the one that I struggled with most, but my call of Seattle and Arizona as a wildcard. The Seahawks were appalling, and the 49ers finished strongly to take second but were way short of the playoffs.
Graham did well though, calling the Cards as divisional winners and 49ers as runners up but missing the playoffs. Nice work.
What will happen this year?
Chris Johnson will be league MVP… so says Chris Johnson
Jan 15th
A topic from the archive.
15th January, 2010 — As we thought, way back when, Chris Johnson’s prospect of being League MVP were likely to be hampered by Quarterbacks getting the nod, and this was completely the case when the votes were counted and CJ had none.
However, he’s made up for it by being the only unanimous 2009 All-Pro selection. So well done to Chris Johnson. He had a great season; was entertaining to watch and his race to set records was enthralling to the end. As one of only 6 2,000 yard players, we’ll be hoping he can keep his form going. Something that eluded a lot of the others. But he’s young and he’s talented. If he hit 2000 yards next year, who’d be surprised if he didn’t get the MVP?
Good luck to him.

Favourite Four: Running Backs #4 – LenDale White
Aug 26th
Continuing with our Favourite Four series, currently on running backs, we look at the last player on our list at this position.
We reiterate that these are some of our favourite players. We can’t vouch that these will be the best players in absolute terms, have the biggest fantasy football upside or even be any good (though they might be)… but they’re players that we like to watch.
LenDale White of the Tennessee Titans gets the nod this time.
Favourite Four: Running Backs #3 – DeAngelo Williams
Aug 20th
Continuing with our Favourite Four series, currently on running backs, we look at the third player on our list.
We reiterate that these are some of our favourite players. We can’t vouch that these will be the best players in absolute terms, have the biggest fantasy football upside or even be any good (though they might be)… but they’re players that we like to watch.
DeAngelo Williams of the Carolina Panthers gets the call this week.
Second Look… AFC South
Aug 3rd
In my First Look at the AFC South I called it one of the toughest to call. And it still looks like that today.
I’ve not made many adjustments to my predictions elsewhere so far. Let’s see if there’s any changes here.

LenDale White Looks to Shake the Land-Whale Tag
Jul 9th
Titans’ running back LenDale White will be looking to shake the Land-Whale tag this season. He has reported back to his team with a 20lb weight loss.
LenDale enters the last year of his contract this year and it looks like he doesn’t want weight of conditioning to be a factor in any contract talks.
